There are plenty of photogenic spots on Aoshima, a classic tourist destination in Miyazaki! (Miyazaki City)
Aoshima, a popular tourist destination in Miyazaki City, is an island with a circumference of approximately 1.5 kilometers that floats offshore from the Aoshima coastline. It can be accessed via a bridge from the beach. Visitors can also access the island via three-wheeled tuk-tuk taxis. Aoshima Shrine, of which the entire island is considered part of the grounds, is a famous power spot that offers a rich supply of scenes that you’ll definitely need to capture on camera, such as the heart-shaped objects on offer, and the tunnel featuring hung Ema plaques. Before reaching Aoshima itself, visitors will also find the old-school yellow post box that’s considered a symbol of happiness, and the Aoshima Beach Park, a beach you would expect to see show up in movies or TV dramas, so there are plenty of other things to point the lens at on your way there.
More than just moai statues! Photogenic spots at Sunmesse Nichinan (Nichinan City)
Located at Sunmesse Nichinan are seven moai statues that are complete replicas of the Ahu Akivi found on Easter Island, and the first such statues to be specially approved by the island’s elders. It is said that if you touch them, your wishes will come true, and the statues offer different blessings including luck with work, good health, luck with romance, overall good luck, marital luck, financial luck, and luck with studies in order from left to right. But first, grab a photo with your favorite moai statue. Many visitors post photos taken here to Instagram, such as the swings with their spectacular view at the top of the hill. Make sure you search every corner of the grounds here, because there are plenty of spots where you can take great pictures.
The Phoenix Seagaia Resort, a resort hotel where you can take photos that just ooze luxury (Miyazaki City)
The Living Garden is an outdoor space offering an atmosphere of luxury, located at the Phoenix Seagaia Resort, one of the largest resort hotels in Kyushu. You can take great pictures here while relaxing at the various attractions, such as the Waterside Gazebo next to the pool, or the Fireside Livingroom where you can enjoy roasting marshmallows. The space is illuminated at night, and a fireworks show is put on every night during summer vacation and the Christmas season. The overall facility also offers a variety of other photogenic spots, including cafes and bars, and a lovely passageway to the hot spring.

The Sea-Cruz, where wishes come true (Hyuga City)
