宮崎県庁
Miyazaki Prefectural Government Office

The Miyazaki Prefectural Government Office is registered as a national tangible cultural property, the oldest in Kyushu!

Originally built in 1932, the Miyazaki Prefectural Government Office’s main building is the fourth oldest such building in Japan, and the oldest in Kyushu, still used for its original purpose. Built in the modern gothic style, the interior is filled with ornate decorations and round stained-glass windows.
Today, a free tour of the building, during which volunteer guides explain the highlights, is offered to enable more people to learn about it. Visitors can participate in the regularly scheduled tours for individuals without prior reservations. (Guidance in Japanese only)
Meanwhile, adjacent to the Government Office's main building is the Miyazaki Products Shop KONNE which has a large array of foods and crafts from Miyazaki on display and sale. It is the ideal place to stop by if you’re looking for gifts from Miyazaki.
