This cultural hub, conceived according to a theme of picture books, is located in the forests of Kijo Town and its mountainous surroundings.
The massive site of roughly 24,000 square meters features the Mori-no-Ehon-Kan, a facility with a collection of picture books and original artwork from around the world, along with a cafe and cottages where you can stay the night. Visitors to the specialty picture book and children’s book store can freely consult with the book advisor and purchase any works they take a fancy to.
A variety of events are also held at the Mizu-no-Stage (water stage), offering special experiences interacting with nature, including a concert held on the night of the new moon in the autumn, stargazing, and gatherings to listen to the sounds of the insects.
